A leaden stride to nowhere.

I am a loser, I am Satan, I am Jesus Christ. I'm me.

Thank you everyone at Bled Fest for making yesterday one of the most memorable shows we have ever played. (Photo by Dave Summers, and featuring Evan Peak of Xerxes in the air, higher than everyone).

I can see myself clutching my hat and screaming my lungs out.

Today was a very long and very uncomfortably emotional day. Pianos Become the Teeth played almost all of The Lack Long After. I raged all the way through. I hit my nose so hard my teeth ache when I touch it. Found a lump welling up in my already raw throat during “I’ll Get By” and found myself full blown crying by the end of it. I sat alone on the bleachers in the gymnasium of the highschool I was in for two hours afterward. I don’t feel exhausted and happy. I just feel tired and sad.

This dress was inspired by the student in my sociology class who thought that all feminists were hairy and butch. I just want to make sure that everyone knows that a feminist can wear whatever the fuck she or he (or both or neither) feels like wearing. My sociology professor loved the dress and she gave me extra credit! I used a potato stamp to make the print, I used a vintage pattern to make the dress, and I embroidered the phrase “This is what a feminist looks like” on the bodice.
